Feriolo - municipality of Baveno

Feriolo, administratively municipality of Baveno, is situated between this last one and Suna, in a crossroad of roads that address from one side in the direction of the lake of Orta, Gravellona Toce, Domodossola and valley of the Ossola and from the other one of Verbania and Switzerland: this part of coast entertains numerous and equipped campings and the mouth of the river Toce too, one of the pricipalis tributaries of the lake Maggiore. In the antiquity the town was extended toward the road of the Sempione but, in 1855 and in 1867, two landslides overwhelmed in the lake a lot of houses making quite a lot victims. In the center the oratory of San Carlo rises, erect during the XVII century. Enchanting the nighttime view of the town from the road and from the lake, illuminated by lights that make like a fable the landscape.
