In the south of Angera and in front of the shore of piazza Garibaldi , the small islet Partegora rises isolated in the center of the inlet, rich of reeds and lake vegetation (1). In these reeds, in the autumn of 1776, Alessandro Volta discovered what he described as " inflammable air of the swamps ", our methane.
