Reno, administratively municipality of Leggiuno, is situated between Arolo and Cerro and it rises in a bordering gulf with the promontory of this last one and with the Santa Caterina del Sasso's hermitage, an ancient monastery that, according to the legend, it was built in the second half the XII century by a rich merchant escaped to a furious storm on the lake. From the town it can be admired the gulf Borromeo in its integrity; this small town has been born and developed, according to the legend, around the hut built by the fishermen of the zone in honor of Cecilia, protagonist of the local tradition.
