Tremezzo is situated between locality Lenno and Griante, at the Mount Crocione's foot and in front of Bellagio; it is one of the busiest and most famous international coastal centers of lake of Como. In the period 1928-1947 the towns of Tremezzo, Lenno and Mezzegra formed a single municipality called "Tremezzina". Great villas and hotels characterize the town. Interesting Villa Carlotta of the eighteenth century with its huge park and its works of art, Villa La Quiete, Villa La Calia of the '700 and the Santa Maria's church.

Tremezzina is a town born on 4th February 2014 by the union of pre-existing municipalities of Tremezzo, locality Ossuccio, Lenno and locality Mezzegra. Its name comes from the fishermen's village called "Tramezzo" or "Framezzo", including the ancient Roman Via Regina and the Mount Crocione's slopes.
